FAQs

What is a Cannabis Social Club (CSC) or cannabis growing association?

1

A CSC is a non-profit organisation in which adult members (21 and over in our case) grow cannabis collectively for their own use. The basis is the Consumer Cannabis Act (KCanG), which came into force on 1 July 2024. The distribution takes place exclusively within the association to registered members - commercial distribution or sale is prohibited by law.

Grüner Bär e.V. is a cultivation association according to § 11 KCanG based in Brandeburg. We grow cannabis collectively at and pass it on to our members within the framework of the legal requirements. We emphasise quality, safety and responsibility - both in the cultivation and handling of cannabis.

2. completion of a questionnaire to check the legal requirements for membership (e.g. minimum age, main residence in Germany, not a member of other CSCs, etc.).

3. receipt of a confirmation e-mail containing all further information on the payment process and the appointment for identity verification.

4. payment of the membership fee (monthly or annually, depending on the model chosen).

5. personal verification: Each member must appear in person once to present a valid photo ID.

Please note: Membership is not possible without proof of identity and payment collection.

How do discounts work?

7

Some strains are marked discount-eligible. If you’re Tier 2 or Tier 3, you’ll see your tier ceiling at checkout (up to 10% for Tier 2, up to 15% for Tier 3).

If a strain isn’t marked discount-eligible, it’s sold at the base price.

Can I just drop by and buy cannabis?

8

No. Grüner Bär e.V. is not a shop. Access is reserved exclusively for registered members. It is strictly forbidden to pass on to non-members.

Yes.

You can pause your membership after the first three months for a maximum of one to two months per year.

During the pause, your membership fee is suspended, and your spot in the club remains reserved for you.

When and where do information events take place?

10

We plan regular information events to provide information about membership, the production process and the legal framework.

How do reservations work?

Some batches are marked reservable. Tier 2 can place holds within the stated pickup window; Tier 3 enjoys broader availability (e.g. more allocation or a longer hold window). Uncollected holds expire and return to the menu.

Can I change tiers?
